Home Learning

The expectation of home learning is that children spend a maximum of three hours each day - at any point in the day - doing their school work. Work can be completed throughout the week as we realise access to technology may be an issue if there is more than one person trying to use it.  We would also like children to read for at least an hour each day.

If your child is learning from home they will receive a work pack either in person or by post.

Reading

Read your school book or any other books you have at home and then quiz using the link below.

Student Progress - My Targets (renaissance-go.com)

You can also use MyOn to read and, once you've read, quiz on the book. Remember MyOn is linked to your Accelerated Reader account so quiz on the books in your ZPD.

Maths

We encourage all children to learn/practise their times tables weekly, this can be through games, chanting, quick fire questions or there are many apps. In school we use TT Rockstars https://play.ttrockstars.com/ that can be accessed from home (their is also a ttrockstars app than can be downloaded onto most devices).

Useful maths websites:

Maths Genie - Primary - KS2 SATs Revision  - this site has past papers and lots of practice questions and answers.

Hit the Button - Quick fire maths practise for 6-11 year olds (topmarks.co.uk)

Corbettmaths Primary – Primary 5-a-day, videos, worksheets and more - the videos are particularly helpful to see how it is taught.

We hope that this is clear but any questions, please contact Mrs Bond and Mrs Meade and Miss Williams through Class Dojo.
