Following careful consideration and consultation with Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust, we have taken the decision to close the school on Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th June due to the Red Weather Warning for extreme heat issued by the Met Office.
A Red Weather Warning indicates a potential risk to life and significant disruption, and people are advised to take immediate action to stay safe. In line with this national guidance, we have assessed the conditions on site and concluded that it would not be possible to maintain a safe and suitable environment for teaching and learning. Classrooms are expected to exceed safe temperature levels, and there is an increased risk of heat-related illness for both pupils and staff.
