Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to the Year 5 page. This is an exciting and important year, where children continue to develop independence, deepen their learning and prepare for the challenges of upper Key Stage 2.

Our Year 5 team includes Mrs Kearley, Mrs Williams, Mrs Axe / Mr Wolfe, and our Learning Support Assistants Mrs Fermor, Ms Chedgey, Mrs Kelly and Mrs Barfield. We work closely together to ensure that every child is supported, encouraged and challenged to achieve their best.

In Year 5, we aim to build confidence, curiosity and resilience. Pupils further develop essential skills in reading, writing and maths, while enjoying a broad and engaging curriculum across a wide range of subjects.

We look forward to working in partnership with families to make Year 5 a positive, successful and enjoyable year for all children.

We use ClassDojo for communication, so any questions please contact one of the year team.
